Free Professional Development for First Grade Teachers in Title 1 Schools
The Teacher Study Group professional development, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, provides free on-site training and materials designed to help schools improve vocabulary instruction and reading achievement. The Teacher Study Group approach combines years of research on effective instructional techniques for teaching vocabulary with evidence-based approaches for training teachers. The Teacher Study Group in Vocabulary is an interactive professional development opportunity available to first grade teachers at no cost to your district. In fact, teachers and facilitators will receive a stipend for committing and participating.
