Project Title: Developing Concept of Variable Among Students With Mathematics Difficulties in Preparation for Algebra
Purpose: This project is funded by the National Science Foundation (grant #2300404) to develop a supplemental foundational algebra intervention that develops 8th grade students' concept of algebraic variables as they learn to interpret and evaluate expressions, represent real-life mathematical word problems using algebraic notation, and solve linear equations.
